PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The AerisGUARD™ Maintenance Multi-Enzyme Cooling Tower Cleaner is a patented one-step cleaning product with a multi-enzymatic formulation that is designed to be the best practice application for mechanical plant maintenance of water cooling towers.

AerisGUARD’s Cooling Tower Cleaner digests inanimate organic debris which is flushed from the water circuit during final rinsing.

There are many downstream positive effects on the water circuit, with the chiller and pumps suffering from reduced corrosion and the measurably improved heat exchange.

The cleaner is designed to remove inanimate organic debris from all parts of the cooling tower, in particular, the fill material, improving the performance of both key characteristics:

  • RANGE: This is the difference between the cooling tower water inlet and outlet temperature.
  • APPROACH: This is the difference between the cooling tower outlet cold water temperature and ambient wet bulb temperature, ensuring performance and AS NEW condition.

AerisGUARD is pH neutral and provides:

Directions & Preparation

This certified AerisGUARD™ Maintenance Multi-Enzyme Coooling Tower Cleaner is part of the patented AerisGUARD System and should be used strictly with other AerisGUARD products.

NON-CORROSIVE MULTI-ENZYME FORMULATION

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

  • Add AerisGUARD Multi-Enzyme Cooling Tower Cleaner mixing in water at 500:1. In larger towers, add product at several points of the CT basin. Note: Additions of the cleaning solution can result in a low level of foaming action.
  • Allow to circulate for at least 10 hours for an initial clean and at least 6 hours for maintenance. Product effectiveness can depend on water temperature. Consult temperature recommendations in Instructions for Use (IFU 016) to optimize cleaning time.
  • To accelerate cleaning time more product can be added. However, to halve the cleaning time, multiply the dosage rate by 4 times the initial dosage recommendation.
  • At the completion of the re-circulating/cleaning cycle, treat water per local and regional codes.
  • Drain as much water as possible from the cooling tower basin and pipes.
  • Clean all wetted surfaces of the cooling tower using clean water spray or mechanical cleaning as required.
  • Ensure all screens and strainers are checked for scale fouling and cleaned as required.
  • Refill the cooling tower with water.
  • For detailed instructions refer to IFU 016.
